Today Fred discovered television."Wow," said Fred, "You can learn so much. It's so interesting, seeing into other people's lives, whole other undiscovered worlds!"
Fred was delighted and sat for many hours watching the television.
Soon, however, Fred's eyes began to get sore and he felt very tired, very drained.
"My eyes feel oddly square," thought Fred to himself.
"I think I shall have a break" he said aloud, and although Fred had learnt alot from TV he had this strange feeling that whilst new things were going into his head, some things seemed to have left as well.
So Fred decided that although TV was a great discovery it was perhaps better taken in small doses.
